As an End of Life Doula it is my passion and mission to improve death literacy and comfort around talking about all things dying and death. To this end I am hosting free monthly Inner West Death Cafe and The Life and Death Cafe community events.

Inner West Death Cafe

What is a Death Cafe?

To quote directly from the organisation who founded the concept:

"At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake drink tea and discuss death. Our objective is to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives. A Death Cafe is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, no objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counselling session"

What is a Life and Death Cafe?

My monthly Life and Death Cafe events are much more bespoke and creative and generally planned a month in advance. These are exciting spaces where I can be more flexible in my offerings.

In September there will be a Q&A with two guest speakers.

Just as talking about sex won't make you pregnant, talking about death won't make you dead.
